Sumedha developed a passion for dietetics at a young age, inspired by her father's interest in food columns and her mother's experimentation with Western cooking techniques. Her grandmother's knowledge of the healing properties of herbs also had a profound impact, motivating her to establish a herb garden in her backyard! Over time, the garden has grown to include a variety of microgreens and herbs, which she incorporates into her recipes.

This early interest led her to pursue a Bachelor's degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics. Her curiosity and dedication to her field drove her to further her education with a Master's degree in Nutritional Science from San Jose State University, in San Jose, California. After obtaining her Registered Dietitian certification, she gained experience working in various settings including acute care, long-term care, and dialysis.

Throughout her career, she has remained committed to ongoing learning and professional growth. Her practice is guided by a compassionate and empathetic approach, and she is dedicated to integrating innovative dietary therapies, such as alternative and functional nutrition, into her work.
